Hamilton
Gardens is the perfect place to get away from the buzz of the
city. With 18 beautifully landscapes gardens fitting into five
different collections: Paradise, Productive, Fantasy, Cultivar and
Landscape, it makes this a great area for a day trip or for that up and coming event. Hamilton Gardens is host
to the popular Food and Wine Festival and the Hamilton Gardens Arts
Festival where all things theatre, music, and summer are
celebrated in the gardens. The Te Parapara Garden at Hamilton
Gardens is New Zealand's first and only traditional Maori garden,
and a rich record of the region's pre-European history.
The Hamilton Gardens is open all year round and is free
entry.
